Desert Season so far

New year, new me. Or, well, supposedly.

Arizona's getting a lot of snow. Like enough to shut down the roads in and out of flag for a few days, so there goes any hope of working any NAZ projects. It's not entirely a bad thing, it just means projects that have been neglected during roof season get some attention again.

As a full time weekend warrior, I've been chasing the warmth, so this means spending time at Oak Flat, Supes, and other places in Central Arizona, with the occasional trip up to Sedona if the weather looks good. I recently went up to Bikini wall to try Berlin and Beast from the East. I  I established a list of 100+ boulder problems I would like to try (and hopefully send) by the time the year is over. Progress on this goal has been slow for a few reasons. First, climbs are pretty spread out from each other, so it's rare to visit more than one or two boulders a session. Secondly, the boulders are much more skin intensive and will cause frequent rips. I've done one or two ascents (some late in the last year that I would consider as done this year) so far, and the other ones I'm trying are a work in progress. Repeats on previous season projects are also going slow, but that's a whole other can of worms. Here are two of the newer things I've done so far.

Priest Draw/EoY Update

I'm still been working on Lolita  at Priest Draw. I've now progressed to the point where the boulder can be segmented into 3 parts, ...
