New Year

Congrats to Bobby and Skyler for starting up blogs.

It's the new year, and I'm starting it off rehabbing my elbow and getting ready to finish off Mars this year. I'm starting up some physical training to make sure my body (elbow and legs) is strong enough to handle the beta I want to do the climbs in. I have managed to sort out the sequences earlier this year, but timing did not align with skin, temperature, and body. I hope to get the lines done such that I'll be cruising into the summer with fitness for the big roof projects.

In other news, I'll be going to Hueco in two weeks with some friends from Phoenix for about 4 days. Psyched to finish off some old projects.

Elbow rehab tour: Cosmic Tricycle

Few shots while working Cosmic Phoenix. Had to be creative enough and generate a 15-17 move sequence since I'm too short for the tall beta, and too tall for the short beta. It feels equivalent to The Girl in terms of power level. It's an interesting boulder that starts on Cosmic Bicycle and finishes on Pufferfish. I found it quite athletic and precise with some strange kneebars. It took me about 2 sessions but I finally sorted out the sequence, but I numbed out with temperatures below 50 degrees F, so it looks like this will be on the docket until the temps increase.
